White Gift Sunday 2022

To include everyone , we need your help!!!

The Mission Committee has decided this year to have White Gift Sunday on Saturday, December 3,2022 as a “Drive through Drop off Gift Card Program” and on Sunday, December 4,2022 a “presentation of your gift cards during the service”

On Saturday, December 3, 2022 between 1 and 3 PM in the handicap parking lot at Central, you can drop off your gift cards. Entering from Hess St., dropping off, exiting onto Caroline St.

On Sunday December 4, 2022 during the service there will be a designated time to bring your Gift Cards forward, placing them in a gift box under the Christmas tree.

How can you help?

Instead of purchasing toys, please provide a gift card(s) so families may safely purchase their own toys. For ease of distribution, it would be beneficial to have these cards in smaller amounts of $10, $15, or $20. If you would like to donate a larger amount then purchase several gift cards in smaller denominations e.g., for $100 donation, purchase five $20 cards. Cash and cheques would also be welcome. Please make cheques out to Inner City Outreach Ministry. Whatever amount you can manage, your generosity will improve the lives of others this Christmas Season.

What Kind of Gift Cards?

The preference is Walmart as it is very accessible to many of the families who will receive the gift cards but other options are Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons.

Please obtain a Sleeve for the cards and clearly indicate the dollar amount of the card for distribution purposes.

I am confident, with the generosity of Central’s congregation, we will once again help to bring some joy, peace and hope to some children and families this Christmas season.

Don MacVicar, Director of the Inner City Outreach Ministry, will receive all the Gift cards, cash and cheques for distribution.

Thank you in advance for your generous support and helping to provide a gift for a child and a Christmas dinner for a less fortunate family.

Mission Committee Drive Through Drop off Food Share

Update from Spring 2022: The Mission Committee would like to say thank you, to Central’s congregation and everyone else who took part in the Hamilton Food Share drive through, for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, excitement and generosity. It is so heart warming to be standing in the alley receiving food and donations from you folks and see the joy and love that is shared as you drive through. This adventure was another great success thanks to you, as I have said many times before we couldn’t do it without you. We received 476 LB of food and $3000.00 dollars in donations.  The Hamilton Food Share has received these donations.

WOW!!  That will help a lot of less fortunate people.

Blessings to all and thank you for being there for the less fortunate.

HAPPY EASTER!!!               The Mission Committee
